Our cousin Keri has learned a thing or two about sick babies and passed on the good word about a nifty little tool called the Nosefrida. Its from Sweden and the concept is quite disgusting really, but boy is it AMAZING! Its a tube attached to a hose with a mouth piece at the end, it works sort of like a syphon. You stick the tube, conveniently the size of the opening of a nostril, at the opening of the nostril and literally suck the snot out of their nose! Now I know what you're thinking, gross, you get snot in your mouth! Wrong! There is a filter at the top of the tube before it gets to the hose and the tube is quite long so the snot never makes it up that high. This thing is so great that you can hear it sucking the snot out of the back of their throat! Thank you Keri!!!
The weekend wasn't all tissues and snot though, we did get a lot of cleaning done, returned some items from the growing pile of returns that we needed to make, purchased some new items, and put together a new toy given to us from someone at work! It is an exercauser that Hannah is clearly too small to use yet but when I took her out of it, she screamed for me to put her back in so that I did. She's so small that her feet don't touch the bottom, even on the lowest setting and her shoulders come up to the top of the seat so her arms fall into the leg holes, its a funny sight! She looks like she's in a submarine hatch popping her head up. We rigged it a little with a box for her to stand on, used a towel as padding so she doesn't hit her head on the back of the hard plastic seat, and shoved a crib sheet in the front so she doesn't hit her face on the front of the seat. I think we may just wait a little bit to put her back in it, thats too much work! Last but not least, Hannah had a giggle fest yesterday afternoon because I was shaking a bag of milk at her! I have a video of it but not with me so you'll have to take my word for it. She thought this was the funniest thing since grocery shopping last Sunday, her first giggle fest! Oh I love this time with her! Enjoy the pictures.

Oh Hannah you are getting so big......don't think I'll ever let your mommy get close to me with her nose sucker....lol
Oh, Grandma! Your comments always make me smile!!! The next time you're sick you might be begging Kim to come suck your nose out. :) At least that's what I was thinking when I was reading about it.....I would love to have one of those for me, lol. I sure wish I knew about that for my kids. Sounds so much better than those bulbs.
Hannah is a little talker and growing so fast. Cutie!
haha! I know how gross it sounds but she fights it much less than the bulb!
We LOVE "the snotsucker". I would recommend it to everyone. We had to use ur for arya when she was little because she had BODY, which causes her to have extra secretions she couldn't clear. And viola, the snotsucker was the best thing ever! Hope you all get to feeling better soonz
Thank you Ashley! It really is amazing!
