Kims Home! and Indy

Well, Kim has been back home for almost a week now. The five days she was gone were tough. I ate fast food every day and spent too much money...I don't know what I'd do without her! She had a really good time catching up with her family, but I won't go into details and will let her tell everyone about it herself. I am going to put a picture of her nephew, Landon, on here though...he looks completely different from the last time I saw him and that was only 1 or 2 months ago!

As all of you know I have been looking for a job in Indianapolis. I finally recieved a call back from a company there and have been offered a job by them. Although this is not the job that I have always dreamt about it is a start in the right direction. When they called this past Thursday I found out that I will be starting July 14th. With that date in mind...not to mention that Kim and I's lease is up July 15th...we started furiously looking for apartments. The 1st stop that Kim and I came to was in Lebanon. We were thinking that if Kim keeps her job at Purdue and I have my job in Westfield we could split the commute by living in Lebanon. Well we found out that although it may be ideal for splitting the driving distance...it is not ideal for living safely. We asked the leasing agent if the area was safe and how much crime there was and she replied "All I can tell you is to drive around the complex's during the day and then at night and see for yourself. If there is a little child sitting on the curb crying at night then I wouldn't think it is a good place to live." I proceeded to ask her if that happens at her complex and she ignored me as if I never asked her. Our search moved on to Indy and Kim and I both were not happy with the quality of the communities we were going to. Finally we came across Riverbend Apartments and thought it would be a perfect fit for us. We will be living in a 1 bedroom loft on the 3rd floor of one of their buildings. It is not ideal for us, but we will have the opportunity to transfer to a 1st floor apartment after 6 months...which Kim doesn't think will be necessary, but I know she will be cursing under her breath walking up and down three flights of stairs every day. Riverbend is on Allisonville Rd. right off of 465. It's also only a 2 or 3 minute drive to Keystone Xing...which is where the Cheesecake Factory is! It is also about 15 minutes from where I will be working and a 50-60 minute commute for Kim. Kim and I are both crossing out fingers that she will be able to find a job in Indy soon because the time she is going to spend driving and obviously the cost of gas is going to make the drive old very quickly. One funny thing we found out after we decided this is where we were going to live was that my cousin, Jon, also lives in the same complex!

Well, that's enough typing for now. We will have pictures of our apartment once we move in on July 11th so the posts don't get too boring.
